Don Julio 1942, an exquisite Tequila Añejo created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the opening of Don Julio's first distillery.

In 1942, Don Julio Gonzalez founded his distillery, La Primavera, under the brilliant sunshine of Los Altos de Jalisco. From the cultivation of the Agave to the bottling of the final product, he refined an intricate process that produces one of Mexico's most exquisite Tequilas.

The process begins by hand selecting Agave plants that take seven to ten years to mature. The Agave is then slowly roasted for 70 hours in traditional masonry ovens and double distilled in a special alambique. This limited edition Tequila is crafted from the finest Agave and aged until it reaches the most extraordinary levels of flavor and character.

Rested in oak barrels for over 2 years. Pure golden color, full nose of vanilla, apple and oak. Silky profile with a sweet vanilla finish.

Quite a lot happening on the nose with vanilla cream, cinnamon, and caramel-covered popcorn. A faint hint of green herbs and minerality is found as well. The tequila is rich and soft on your palate as well as sweet. The finish is spicy and herb filled with the tequila ending up on the bitter and dry side.

Don Julio 70 is an añejo tequila that is filtered to remove the color imparted in the aging process. It is aged for 18 months in used American white oak barrels. 70 does not refer to the proof (which is 80 proof), but to the 70th anniversary of the distillery Don Julio started in 1942. This bottling was released in 2012 to commemorate that occasion.

The liquid starts as 100% blue weber agave which is triple-distilled for extraordinary smoothness. Finally, this aged liquid is rock filtered to gently extract the color, rounding out the flavor profile.

Casamigos Cristalino Reposado is made from 100% Blue Weber agave from the rich red clay soil of the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Our Reposado is twice distilled and aged to perfection in American white oak barrels, then carefully charcoal filtered to restore the crisp, bright agave flavor found in our Blanco Tequila while maintaining some of the cask notes. The filtration process removes the golden honey color of the Reposado, resulting in a crystal-clear spirit.
