Kayo Yoshida currently runs the brewery and is the first female brewery owner in Nara, Japan. Umenoyado Brewery is a 10-time winner of the most prestigious sake competition in Japan, Zenkoku Shinshu Kanpyo Kai.

TYKU Junmai Ginjo Sake is crafted from a special blend of Yamada Nishiki & Akebono sake rice that is polished so only 55% of the grain remains, a process that removes impurities and refines taste.

This is a blended malt named in honor of Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese whisky. He is the first Japanese who mastered whisky-making in Scotland and produced the genuine whisky in Japan. Masataka learned that the natural resources surrounding a distillery were essential for quality whisky. Based on his thought, he selected two places, Yoichi and Miyagikyo, and built two distilleries there. Its gentle malt flavor, fruitiness and extremely well-balanced taste make it a perfect entry point into the world of Nikka.

A delicate balance is achieved by the skillful blending of grain whiskies and slightly peated malts. Floral Aromas and a smooth mouthfeel will perfectly complement any special moment.
